How fast do you reply?
Usually within the hour during business hours (Mon–Sat 8a–6p). Outside those hours, first thing the next morning.
Do I get a quote before booking?
Yes. We share a flat, all-in number from your matched cleaner before anything is scheduled. No obligation if it doesn't work for you.
How quickly can I get my first clean?
For standard cleans, often within the same week. Deep cleans and move-out cleans need 5–10 days lead time so the cleaner can plan the hours.
What information do you need from me?
Bedrooms, baths, square footage, ZIP code, pets, any specific problem areas, and the cadence you're after. Two minutes of intake.

How pricing works.

Cleaners set rates. We tell you up front. You pay the cleaner directly.

Why don't you list a flat price?
Because the cleaner gives you the price, not us. Each cleaner sets their own rates and quotes each home individually after we share the details. We share typical ranges up front so there are no surprises.
What's the referral fee?
A one-time fee Ready Maids collects when you book through us, separate from what you pay your cleaner. We'll tell you the exact structure before you commit. No recurring platform fees on top of every clean.
Who do I pay?
Your matched cleaner directly — cash, card, e-transfer, whatever they accept. The Ready Maids referral fee is collected separately, once.
Are there discounts for recurring service?
Yes. Most cleaners offer a lower per-visit rate for weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly clients. New recurring clients also get 10% off their first 3 visits.

About the cleaners.

Who they are, how we vet them, and how matching works.

Are the cleaners Ready Maids employees?
No. Ready Maids is a California-licensed Domestic Referral Agency. The cleaners we refer are independent professionals with their own businesses. We do the matching and the vetting; they do the cleaning.
How do you vet them?
Background check, reference verification (3 past clients, called personally), proof of insurance and bonding, and an in-person interview. Every cleaner clears all four before we'll refer them.
Will I get the same cleaner every time?
For recurring clients, yes — same person every visit, by design. For one-time and deep cleans, the matched cleaner runs your job; same person if you re-book.
What if my cleaner isn't a fit?
Tell us. We'll re-match. The whole point of working through us is that you don't have to fire and re-hire on your own — that's our job.
Day of & logistics

When cleaning day arrives.

Access, supplies, pets, and how things actually run.

Do I need to be home?
No, but you can be. Most recurring clients give the cleaner a key, code, or smart-lock access. We don't share access details outside the matched cleaner.
Do cleaners bring their own supplies?
Yes, by default. If you prefer specific products (eco-friendly, scent-free, your own brands), let us know during intake and we'll match a cleaner who's happy to use yours.
What about pets?
Mention them in the intake. The cleaners we refer are used to dogs and cats. If your pet does better in another room during the clean, we'll note it and pass it on.
How do I cancel or reschedule?
Text or email us with as much notice as you can. 24 hours+ is appreciated; same-day happens and we work with it.
What if something gets broken?
Every cleaner we refer is bonded and insured. Tell us within 48 hours and we'll connect you with the cleaner's coverage to make it right. We've never had to use this often, but it's there.
